The Pokemon Company announced Pokken Tournament, an exciting new fighting game featuring Pokemon using the Tekken game engine. Pokken Tournament is scheduled for release in Japanese arcades in 2015. There currently are no plans to release this on consoles. Check out the trailer below:

Nintendo recently announced the worldwide release of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
on November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems. These will be remakes of the 2003 Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire games.

Today, Nintendo released a "Pokemon Direct" interview introducing exciting new details for the upcoming Pokemon X and Pokemon Y games.
- Mega-Evolved Pokemon: Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Ampharos, Absol, Mawile, Mewtwo, Lucario, and Blaziken, are able to further evolve into a Mega form. This is a temporary evolution occuring only during battle in the Kalo region when the Mega Ring the trainer wears connects with the Mega Stone the Pokemon holds. In Mega form, the Pokemon looks a bit larger and bulkier, and unlocks powers only available in that form. After battle, they "devolve" into their previous state. Pictured above are Mega Venusaur, Mega Charizard, and Mega Blastoise.
- Starter Pokemon: They revealed you'll receive two starter Pokemon. The first is one of the new generation starters, Chespin, Fennekin, or Froakie, that you'll actually get from your friends. Later on, you'll get one of the original starts, Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle, from the Professor.
- Pokemon Bank: This is the Pokemon-in-the-cloud service allowing you to store up to 3,000 Pokemon online on Nintendo's servers, a nice upgrade from the much smaller on-cartridge Pokemon boxes. There will be a small annual fee for this feature.
- PokeTransportation: This is a feature allowing you to transfer your Pokemon Black, White, Black 2, and White 2 Pokemon to Pokemon Bank.

Nintendo just announced Pokemon X and Y for the Nintendo 3DS, to be released worldwide in October 2013. These games feature an incredible 3D world unlike in any of the previous Pokemon games.
